Why we love Time to Heal...
We have walked the road of deep loss, pain, regret and will continually pursue forgiveness, freedom, and connection with others! Time to Heal has changed our lives and we want the same for you!
I am a mother of four; two boys and two girls. I have been married to my husband for 49 years and look forward to a 50th Anniversary celebration next year. The majority of my life was to spent trying to teach my children how to love the Lord, be good citizens and how to love each other. After my children were older I started back to work. I went to work in a family and child counseling center. After a short time I was asked to work the crisis intake line. I had the opportunity of sitting in on some of the counseling sessions; including the behind mirrored sessions listening to a Psychiatrist do great therapy. A few years later I went to work for a County Mental Health center where I continue to learn about counseling and the process of healing.
I did not realize it at the time, but God was preparing me then to go into the ministry of a Time to Heal. Through this ministry I have been able to work with so many women helping them to see how God's heart for them is freedom and forgiveness from past shame, pain and regrets. I am so grateful that God has chosen me to work in this ministry. I have seen so many people that have been able to work through their pain and walk closely with God. It has been truly a great honor for me to be able to be a part of Time to Heal and do this ministry. Thank you Jesus!
I have been a Christian since the age of 24. I taught Sunday school for 15 years second and third graders. I received my bachelors degree in theology and Christian counseling in 2012. God led me to get my bachelors degree but he didn't tell me what he wanted me to do with it. So I kept praying. I really wanted to help women but I didn't know which direction to go in. And my sister-in-law gave Donna Oehlert my phone number and we sat down and had a meeting. Donna was The director of time to heal women's Bible study. She had other things that she was looking forward to accomplishing and wanted to give time to heal to someone else. I believe that God wants me to be in this ministry as it feels like a perfect fit. I am looking forward to being the director of a time to heal and helping women for many years. I have two grown children and two grown grandchildren.
